Tracking statuses, explained
What every tracking status actually means — and what, if anything, you should do about it.
In transit
"In transit" means your package is on the move between carrier facilities, on its way to you.
Out for delivery
"Out for delivery" means your package is on the delivery vehicle and should arrive today.
Delivered
"Delivered" means the carrier has completed delivery to your address or a pickup point.
Exception
A tracking "exception" means something interrupted normal delivery — an address issue, weather, customs or a failed attempt.
Held at customs
"Held at customs" means your international parcel is awaiting duty payment, document review or inspection.
Information received
"Information received" (or "label created") means the shipment was registered but not yet picked up.
Arrived at facility
"Arrived at facility" means your package reached a sorting hub and will be processed for the next leg.
Delivery attempted
"Delivery attempted" means the carrier tried to deliver but couldn't — often no one was available to sign.
Returned to sender
"Returned to sender" means the parcel is being sent back — due to a bad address, refusal, or unclaimed pickup.
Available for pickup
"Available for pickup" means your package is waiting for you at a depot, locker or post office.
Delayed
"Delayed" means your package will arrive later than expected — usually weather, volume or a transit issue.
Departed
"Departed" means your package left a facility and is heading to the next stop or to you.
