Troubleshooting
Amazon tracking not updating
Amazon order tracking not updating? Here's what a stalled Amazon shipment usually means and what to do.
Why it happens
Amazon uses many carriers — Amazon Logistics (AMZL), UPS, USPS, and regional couriers — and each scans differently. AMZL in particular updates in bursts, often only near delivery.
"Shipping now" or "Arriving today" with no detailed scans is normal for Amazon Logistics; the package frequently arrives on time despite sparse tracking.
What to do
- Open the order in Your Orders for Amazon's own status, which is often more current than the raw carrier scan.
- If Amazon assigned an external carrier (UPS/USPS), paste that tracking number into ParcelTrack for the full carrier timeline.
When to escalate
If the delivery date passes with no package, use Amazon's "Problem with order" flow — Amazon typically refunds or reships quickly.
